After a fabulous nights sleep , a sleep in and room service yes I hear all you mums out their yes a sleep in ! It was time to head down to The Spa located in Crown for 4 hours of pure bliss.
It started with a relax in the relaxation room then we were taken to our own individual suits where we got to spend half an hour in our own spa bath and steam room. My girlfriend did not have her glasses on and instead of pressing the spa button she pressed the emergency button ! Well let me tell you they came running its comforting to know the spa girls were on the ball.
It was then time for the treatments to commence and wow they did not disappoint I have visited many spas around the world and I must say Crown has one of the best. The first hour was a massage and their is nothing better than a therapist who listens to what you like I was in heaven. Can you believe though I was asked to roll over ! The least she could have done was pick me up and turn me over . It was then time to have a luxurious facial with top of the range La Prairie products and may I just add this premium swiss product is top of my list for Luxury Skincare.
After our treatments we were taken into the Salon for hair treatments and blow drys to prepare us for our second night out in Melbourne. So my conclusion is if you are having a girls weekend Crown Towers is a must.
It was then time to get ready for our second night out in Melbourne and tonight it was to the theatre. Going to the theatre is up there on a good night out. I secretly have a desire to be a musical theatre singer and it is still on my bucket list unfortunately singing has never been a forte of mine.It is funny how people can say things to you and you hold on to them , I attended a theatre school in the UK where my parents actually paid for me to have singing lessons and I remember the singing teacher saying in years to come Janes voice will please many I am still waiting and if this teacher was right watch out people there are still plenty of years yet in me !
Anyway back to our night out, we were of to see The Book of Mormons if you are easily offended please don’t go but if you go with an open mind you are in for a treat. The Book of Mormons has won 9 Tony Awards and best musical it is written by Robert lopez , Trey Parker and Matt Stone they wrote South Park which I must say I was not a fan of so when I went I was a little unsure what to expect. It is a musical about two young Mormon missionaries who travel to Africa to preach the morman religion . This was a musical with amazing talent , top notch choreography and Musical arrangements and was Hilarious.
We left the theatre on a high and went to our reservation at Garden State Hotel on Flinders Lane. Totally different to our night at Vue Du Monde but a relaxing place to have a post theatre dinner. The service was great and the waiter recommended a speak easy bar just round the corner for us to try.
Of we toddled in our heals down a cobbled dark laneway and found a bar behind a door which had amazing cocktails and a sophisticated Speak Easy 20’s feel to it .This finished of our night as I tried a few more Tinnis and seen as we had been to Musical Theatre I imagined I was Tallulah in Bugsy Malone .
